A new view of performance analysis techniques in correlated Rayleigh fading

چکیده
This paper provides a new formulation for the pair–wise error probability for any coherently demodulated system in flat Rayleigh fading. The novelty of the result is that the resulting error rate expression is a polynomial function of the eigenvalues of a ‘signal’ matrix. This view also enables a simple new asymptotically tight bound on the pair–wise error probability. Examples of single and multiple transmit antenna systems are considered. Energy Detection of Unknown Signals over Composite multipath/shadowing Fading Channels
In this paper, the performance analysis of an energy detector is exploited over composite multipath/shadowing fading channels, which is modeled by Rayleigh-lognormal (RL) distribution. Based on an approximate channel model which was recently proposed by the author, the RL envelope probability density function (pdf) is approximated by a finite sum of weighted Rayleigh pdfs. Relying on this inter...
متن کاملA Blind Hammerstein Diversity Combining Technique for Flat Fading Channels
Diversity combining techniques play an important role in combating the destructive effects of channel fading in wireless communication systems. In this work we present a blind diversity combining technique for Rayleigh flat fading channels based on Hammerstein type filters. We show that the performance of this technique is very close to ideal MRC system which is accepted as an optimum receiver ...
متن کاملBit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)
In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
متن کاملTracking performance of incremental LMS algorithm over adaptive distributed sensor networks
in this paper we focus on the tracking performance of incremental adaptive LMS algorithm in an adaptive network. For this reason we consider the unknown weight vector to be a time varying sequence. First we analyze the performance of network in tracking a time varying weight vector and then we explain the estimation of Rayleigh fading channel through a random walk model. Closed form relations a...
متن کاملImproved closed-form bounds on the performance of convolutional codes with correlated Rayleigh fading
New bounds on the probability of bit error are presented for a coded communication system with binary antipodal modulation and soft-decision maximum-likelihood decoding over a correlated Rayleigh-fading channel. The bounds are closed-form expressions in terms of the code’s transfer function; they are illustrated by considering a system using convolutional encoding. A long-standing conjecture re...
